Bamboo shoots and shrimp


what you need...

5 cloves garlice (sliced)
1 medium onion (sliced)
thumb ginger (sliced)
4 green chillies (pang sigang)
2 cups coconut milk
1/4 kilo shrimp
1/2 kilo bamboo shoots (sliced)
salt to taste

cooking now...


  • to get rid the smell of the bamboo shoots, first wash the bamboo shoots
  • in a pan with boiling water add the bamboo shoots then add some salt to get rid the smell, simmer for 5mins. 
  • drain the water then add the garlic, onion, ginger and shrimp, and the coconut milk, chillies
  • season with salt to taste
  • let it boil in medium heat until shrimp is done
  • serve hot and enjoy...
